Madden Family Vineyard

The Madden Family Vineyard's history dates back to 1970 when the property was originally purchased by Louise and Ray Madden. Today the vineyard is managed by 3 generations of talented farmers, Louise Madden, Ed Madden, and Todd Madden. 

Surrounded by forested hills, this beautiful vineyard is located 10 miles northeast of Healdsburg California in the Dry Creek Valley AVA. The region's cool morning fog and evening breezes allow the fruit to slowly develop fresh and rich flavors. Summer ripening in ideal temperatures for Merlot consistently develops distinct varietal character. In 1997, thoughtful selections of clone and rootstock which restrain growth and promote complexity were planted in Madden’s Yolo Loam soil. We ensure the fruit quality is preserved by handpicking, and hand sorting the grapes. 

We are proud to have produced the first Madden Family vineyard-designated wine with our 2019 Bailarin Madden Merlot.
